Help needed - Pogliaghi

It took me a while to find out. unequivocably that this bike that was branded 'Pogliaghi' was actually made by the great Mario rossin himselft. He was able to fill me in on quite a bit of information. It was built between 1985 and 1987, and most likely a team bike. But the years have eroded his memory for this stuff. He unfortunately couldn't remember who it was for. It is such an elegant frame with the gusseting and the gorgeous seat stay fastback detail. The seatstay assembly detail is proof that it was built custom. I am writing this letter to ask for your help. There must be someone out there who remembers this bike--either seeing it or actually riding it--especially with the matching red Ambrosio Roulette disc wheels. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer.

Pogliaghi Italy - since 1947

Sante Pogliaghi died in 2000. Pogliaghi sold or transferred rights to build bicycles under his name in the 1980s. The difference between a Pogliaghi made under his direct supervision and one that was not is the *PSM* stamp on the seat-lug, and a serial number on the seat-lug or the head-lug. These stamps disappeared in the late 70's-early 80's. Marc Rossin had the rights first, and a number of Pogliaghis appeared with Rossin-style pantographing. By the 1990s, rights to the name had passed to the Basso brothers.
