Ciocc from Italy to Australia?
Ciocc, (say like CHEE-OH-CH) for the passionate cyclist, is a brand that recalls the early days of the great Italian handcraft tradition of road frames. It was 60 years ago that CIOCC, working from a small artisan shop, produced high quality frames for some very demanding pro riders. Sixty years later, CIOCC is still visible in the professional ranks as a confirmed leader in the world of road bike frames. Stefano Bonati, Cesare Biondi and Biffi Giuseppe - owners of Ciocc - realise the importance of the company's origins, traditions and attention to detail. Ciocc is a market leader of dream-worthy frames that become instant classics and timeless in themselves as well as evolved carbon frames.
http://www.ciocc.com.au/about_ciocc.html
"Frame maestro of Ciocc was Giovanni Pelizzoli. Ciocc was his nickname (local dialect for "poker faced" thus the Ciocc badge of four aces in a cross formation). Claudio Corti won the 1977 U23 Worlds on a Ciocc at San Cristobal, Venezuela, hence the name of their signature model. They also had a model called "Mockba 1980" Giovanni Pelizzoli later help found and design all of the first models of the Masciaghi tubed Fausto Coppi frames when that company was formed. Reportedly many pros rode repainted Cioccs in the 1980's

Masi - Milan and Southern California
Renowned bicycle artisan, Faliero Masi passed away on Tuesday, January 4th. His world-famous atelier under the curve of Milano's Vigorelli Velodrome had created some of the greatest racing bikes of the 20th Century. Masi built bikes for many of cycling greatest champions. Masi was predominantly a "servizio corse", building less than 1000 frames per year, mostly for trade teams and racers.
With the worldwide bike boom of the '70's, Masi's creations like the elegant Gran Criterium became famous around the globe. Eventually, Faliero Masi sold the rights to his name to an American company, who made Masi bikes in Southern California

Basso - Northern Italy- hand building bikes since 1977
www.bassobikes.com
"The force that pushes the company Basso to search for innovative solutions is the true tradition of Italian cycling, where the history of cycling is alive and runs every day in the passion of its characters. One of our first creations, the Gap, was a bicycle dedicated to a Basso of the past, Alcide’s brother, who won the World Championship in 1972. Since then, “Basso racing bikes” is the goal and the faith behind each and every one of our new products".
